Abortion Rights welcomed the call by Dr McPherson, the head of the Royal College of GPs’ teenage health taskforce for doctors to be required to declare their stance on abortion so women can avoid being “made to feel guilty” by those opposed to terminations. We share Dr McPherson’s concern that refusal by undeclared anti-choice doctors is a real problem for women who will often not know that they can approach another doctor for help.
