Abortion Rights Student conference, London
Scarily, we’ve had many student unions reporting increased anti-choice activity on campuses. In light of this and the ongoing clinic protests, we’re hosting the inaugural Abortion Rights Student Conferenceon Saturday November 23rd at University of London Union (ULU). Anyone and everyone involved in “studentland” (students, office bearers, educators etc.) is welcome! LFFF is screening the world premier of Still Fighting: The Story of Clinic Escortson Sunday November 24th at 3:30pm, and Abortion Rights are proud to be on the Q&A panel that follows – full programme and tickets.
What we’ve been doing…
We attended the Feminism in London conference on October 26th and had a great time taking “I’m prochoice because…” photos and handing out Abortion Rights tote bags. Uganda:“Abortion is the fourth killer of women in Uganda and a total of 297,000 abortions are done every year, the United Nations Population Fund country representative, Esperance Fundira has said.” Read more.
