AGM & Public Meeting 2018

Public Meeting 

The meeting starts at 1 pm and is open to all. So please save the date and invite your pro-choice friends. The public meeting is free-of-charge but often oversubscribed, so if you wish to attendplease register in advance to avoid disappointment.

This years meeting topic is 50 Years of Practice where we’ll hear from be screening the brilliant ‘How the 1967 Abortion Act changed our lives’ followed by a Q+A –

About the Film 

This moving new film captures a moment in history, pre and post-1967, from the perspectives of the women who needed contraceptive and abortion care, the health professionals who helped them and the people who were instrumental in the passing of the 1967 Abortion Act. It gives a powerful snapshot of peoples experiences in their own words.

AGM Policy & Campaign business for the coming year – Abortion Rights members only. Starting at 15:00

The AGM will be held at 3 pm for all Abortion Rights members where campaign business will be conducted.  For members wishing to attend the AGM please register by visiting our Eventbrite page here  

Abortion Rights  2015 Annual General Meeting. All Abortion Rights members are most welcome and we would be delighted if you were able to join us at the event.

*To help cover the costs of the event, we ask individual members and representatives of our affiliates to contribute a registration fee of £5.00, or £2.00 for those who are unwaged. Please get in touch with the Abortion Rights office if you feel you cannot afford the registration fee.

Schedule of Events

The Abortion Rights 2015 AGM will be held on Saturday 10 March 2018 and these are the following deadlines in line with our constitution*:

Mailing 1 (including the Annual Report, details of the AGM and public meeting): 20/01/2018

Changes to the constitution deadline, notice to the Executive: 12/02/2018

Mailing 2 (including notice of all motions, nominations and proposals for changes to the constitution): 26/02/2018

Deadline for nominations/motions/constitutional changes is noon on Monday 19/02/2018.
